Students
The information you provide will be used by SMSTC to administer your studies, maintain our IT system, monitor your performance, provide you with support, make funding arrangements, to gather feedback and for strategic planning.
Staff
The information you provide will be used by SMSTC to administer your students, maintain our IT system, provide you with support, make funding arrangements, to gather feedback and for strategic planning.
All users
We will process information about you to administer your symposium attendance and involvement with any associated activities.
SMSTC will use external companies to process information about you on SMSTC’s behalf.
SMSTC remains responsible for the information and will ensure it is kept securely.
We are using information about you because marking assignments is part of the core function of the SMSTC.
Information about students will be shared with their supervisors and nominated contacts at their primary institutions.
If attending an SMSTC event, information about you will be shared with third parties providing accommodation and services for that event. These third parties will be made clear to you before you provide this information.
We will hold the personal data you provided to us for up to two years after your expected graduation date (for students) or notification that you have left your post (for staff).
We do not use profiling or automated decision-making processes. A human decision maker will always be involved before any decision is reached in relation to you.
