Description

Formal groups play a crucial role in algebraic topology, algebraic number theory, algebraic geometry. Starting graduate students in each of these subject will meet them throughout their studies. In this course we will discuss the
theorems of Dieudonne’–Lazard–Lubin classifying 1-dimensional formal groups and their endomorphism ring.
