How to set an assignment

  1. Log in.
  2. Click "Website Admin" at the top-right of the screen
  3. Click the "Modules" box.
  4. You will see the list of modules that you have permission to edit. Next to the one you want to set an assignment for, click "Select Module".
  5. Click "Manage Exams".
  6. Click "add exam", then:
    1. Enter a name for the assignment (which is what will be displayed);
    2. select an SMSTC administrative name from the drop-down box, according to which assessment it is within the semester;
    3. under "is final grade?" select "No";
    4. indicate whether students should submit their assignments electronically;
    5. type in a submission deadline in the format specified, or use the date-picker tool;
    6. select a mark type from the drop-down box indicating whether students will receive a numerical mark, a letter grade or text feedback;
    7. now scroll to the bottom of the screen and click "Add exam".
    8. Remember to also upload a module material document containing the questions for the assignment.
